Pregnancy for a woman can be a joyful experience, but it can also cause anxiety due to the potential risks of complications for both the mother and the fetus. One nursing intervention that can be applied to reduce anxiety in third-trimester pregnant women is the Benson relaxation technique. This study aims to apply nursing care by implementing Benson relaxation to reduce anxiety levels in third-trimester pregnant women. The research uses a qualitative approach through case studies on three third-trimester pregnant women experiencing anxiety. The results of this study indicate that four nursing problems emerged in the three patients, with the main issue being anxiety. The intervention provided to reduce anxiety levels was the Benson relaxation technique. After the intervention, the anxiety levels of the three patients decreased from mild anxiety to no anxiety. Benson relaxation therapy is a breathing relaxation technique involving belief, with deep breathing, as sufficient oxygen in the brain helps create balance and relaxes the muscles, leading to feelings of calm and comfort. Benson relaxation therapy can be used as complementary therapy for third-trimester pregnant women experiencing anxiety.
