ANALISIS HAMBATAN MASUK PASAR, KONSENTRASI PASAR, DAN EFISIENSI PADA INDUSTRI ROKOK DAN PRODUK TEMBAKAU LAINNYA DI INDONESIA (ISIC 1201)
The cigarette and other tobacco products industry in Indonesia is an important sector that contributes to state revenues through excise and taxes, but the dominance of large companies can affect competition and industry performance in achieving optimal efficiency. This research aims to analyze the relationship between market entry barriers, market concentration, and efficiency in the cigarette and other tobacco products industry in Indonesia (ISIC 1201) during the 2001-2021 period. The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics. The market entry barriers and market concentration variables are analyzed using the Structure-Conduct-Performance approach, while efficiency is analyzed using the Stochastic Frontier Analysis method. Using the Pearson correlation test and multiple correlation test, this research explores the relationship between market entry barriers, market concentration, and efficiency in the cigarette and other tobacco products industry in Indonesia. The research results show that market entry barriers, market concentration, and efficiency do not have a significant relationship, but there is a fairly strong correlation between the market entry barriers and market concentration with efficiency.
