ANALISIS PENAMBAHAN NANOPARTIKEL ZINC OXIDE (ZnO), ALUMINIUM OXIDE (Al2O3), DAN TITANIUM DIOXIDE (TiO2) TERHADAP TEGANGAN TEMBUS PADA MINYAK KEDELAI SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF MINYAK TRANSFORMATOR

Hanifa, Salsanabila - Personal Name;

This study aims to analyze the effect of addition of ZnO, Al2O3, and TiO2 nanoparticles on breakdown voltage values. The test was conducted on soybean oil samples with varying concentrations of 0,1, 0,2, 0,3, and 0,4 wt% of each nanoparticles, as well as pure soybean oil to observe the effect of adding ZnO, Al2O3, and TiO2 nanoparticles. This test used ∅ 13 mm sphere electrode system with a 2,5 mm gap, as well as a voltage rise rate of 1 kV/s in accordance with the IEC-60156 standard. The test results showed that the addition of nanoparticles was able to increase the breakdown voltage value of soybean oil to an optimum concentration of 0,3 wt%. At this concentration, the average breakdown voltage reached 38,2 kV for ZnO, 43,2 kV for Al₂O₃, and 50,4 kV for TiO₂. However, at a concentration of 0.4 wt%, the breakdown voltage decreased due to particle agglomeration. Testing of the fatty acid content yielded similar results, with the largest decrease in fatty acids occurring at a concentration of 0,3 wt%, indicating an increase in oxidation stability that contributes to increased dielectric strength. The addition of nanoparticles at an optimum concentration of 0,3 wt% has been proven to improve the dielectric characteristics and chemical stability of soybean oil, thus demonstrating its great potential as an alternative transformer oil.
