KARAKTERISTIK TEGANGAN TEMBUS PADA CAMPURAN MINYAK MINERAL DAN EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL DENGAN PENAMBAHAN NANOPARTIKEL ALUMUNIUM OXIDE (Al₂O₃)
This study aims to analyze the breakdown voltage characteristics of a mixture of mineral oil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) with the addition of Aluminium Oxide (Al₂O₃) nanoparticles as filler. Mineral transformer oil is widely used due to its excellent dielectric strength but is not environmentally friendly. As an alternative, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which is biodegradable and has a high breakdown voltage, was used. The addition of nanoparticles is expected to improve the dielectric performance of the oil mixture. The results show that the addition of Al₂O₃ nanoparticles increased the breakdown voltage of all oil mixtures by 10%–45%. These findings indicate that the mixture of mineral oil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Al₂O₃ nanoparticles enhances dielectric performance, illustrating its potential usage as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional mineral transformer oil.
