Rahayu, Ajeng DiantiĀ  - Personal Name;

Nationally, the achievement target for exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still relatively low, where the national achievement target is 80%. The data obtained is that the achievement of exclusive breastfeeding in Bakung village in 2022 is 50%. This research aims to examine the behavior of exclusive breastfeeding among working and non-working mothers in Bakung village, North Indralaya District. This research uses a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, document review, documentation and observation. The informants in this research were 14 people consisting of 1 Village Midwife, 1 Posyandu Cadre, and 6 Husband and Wife Couples. The data in this study was analyzed using triangulation. The research results showed that all the main informants, namely mothers, had the intention of giving breast milk exclusively. Lack of social support from husbands and lack of understanding of husbands regarding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding. Mothers' access to information regarding exclusive breastfeeding has been provided at the posyandu and also during counseling from the community health center, but it is still less than optimal due to the mother's lack of awareness and intention to seek information independently and only gets information about exclusive breastfeeding at the posyandu. The situation is that mothers do not breastfeed because of the problem of nipple confusion in babies because they are used to using milk bottles, and there are still problems with breastfeeding mothers such as sore nipples, nipples that don't emerge, or pain when breastfeeding. Suggestions for the need for support and the role of family and health workers in supporting mothers to provide exclusive breastfeeding, such as helping prepare the baby's needs and accompanying the mother as a form of emotional support for the mother.
