ANALISIS KEKUATAN DIELEKTRIK CAMPURAN VIRGIN COCONUT OIL DAN OLIVE OIL DENGAN PENAMBAHAN NANOPARTIKEL TITANIUM DIOKSIDA (TiO₂) DAN ALUMUNIUM OKSIDA (Al₂O₃)
This study analyzes the effect of variations in the mixture ratio of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) and Olive Oil (OO) and the addition of Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) and Aluminum Oxide (Al₂O₃) nanoparticles on the breakdown voltage, dielectric strength, and moisture content of insulating oil. The tests were conducted using the Determination of the breakdown voltage at power frequency - Test method (IEC-60156), while the water content was measured using the “gravimetric” method. The results showed that an increase in breakdown voltage followed a decrease in water content. In the ratio variation without nanoparticles, the breakdown voltage increased from 24.14 kV at 25% OO to 26.26 kV at 75% OO, with a decrease in water content from 1756 ppm to 1237 ppm. The addition of TiO₂ and Al₂O₃ nanoparticles at a 50:50 ratio increased the breakdown voltage from 25.09 kV to 55.26 kV at an optimum concentration of 0.1 wt%, where the water content decreased from 240 ppm to 84 ppm. However, at 0.15 wt%, there was an 8.3% decrease due to particle agglomeration. Thermal treatment also increased the breakdown voltage from 25.09 kV to 48.83 kV, with a decrease in water content of 114 ppm. The combination of thermal treatment and nanoparticles provided a synergistic effect on the increase in dielectric strength through the mechanisms of interfacial polarization and water content reduction.
