HUBUNGAN KARAKTERISTIK PASIEN DENGAN EFEK SAMPING HEMATOLOGI YANG MUNCUL SELAMA PENGGUNAAN LINEZOLID PADA PASIEN TB RESISTEN OBAT DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN TAHUN 2024
Background. Linezolid is an effective second-line drug for the treatment of drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB), but it is often associated with hematological adverse effects. Patient characteristics such as age, residence, body mass index, serum albumin level, HIV status, diabetes mellitus, and treatment duration are suspected to contribute to these events. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between patient characteristics and hematological adverse effects during linezolid therapy in DR-TB patients. Method. This analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design used secondary data from medical records of DR-TB patients receiving linezolid at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital, Palembang, in 2024. Variables included age, residence, body mass index, albumin, HIV status, diabetes mellitus, and treatment duration. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test with a significance level of p60 years (p=0.001) and albumin ≤33.5 g/L (p=0.040) were significantly associated with anemia, while other variables showed no significant relationship (p>0.05). Conclusion. Age and serum albumin levels were significantly associated with anemia among DR-TB patients receiving linezolid, whereas other patient characteristics showed no significant association with hematological adverse effects.
