ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN KOMPREHENSIF PADA PASIEN DENGAN CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE DAN IMPLIKASI PENERAPAN TERAPI FOOT MASSAGE UNTUK MENGATASI MASALAH KELETIHAN
Background: The fatigue experienced by patients with chronic kidney disease due to the effects of hemodialysis can cause stress, reduce quality of life, and affect the cardiovascular system. The independent action of the nurse to address this issue is foot massage therapy, which can help chronic kidney disease patients reduce fatigue, as this therapy provides comfort and relaxes the body. Objective: The objective of this scientific work is to provide nursing care to chronic kidney failure patients experiencing nursing problems related to fatigue using foot massage therapy. Method: The method used is a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach involving three chronic kidney failure patients who have nursing care issues related to fatigue. The level of fatigue was measured using the Facit-fatigue scale published from 2006 to 2024, which is accessible in full text. Analysis: Foot massage therapy was administered once daily for 3 days, each session lasting approximately 30 minutes. Discussion: The results of this study indicate that foot massage therapy can significantly reduce the level of fatigue experienced by patients, as evidenced by the average fatigue score decreasing from an initial score of 35 (severe fatigue) to 16 (mild fatigue). Foot massage therapy can stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system and part of the autonomic system to regulate relaxation functions, making patients more relaxed and comfortable.
