Introduction: Pain is an unpleasant and subjective feeling, because it is different in each child in terms of scale or level. If pain is not handled, it can cause a negative impact on the physical and mental health of the child. How to handle the problemcan be carried out with non pharmacological therapy in order to reduce the pain. On of the non-pharmacological interventions that can be given is peppermint aromatherapy. Peppermint aromatherapy is chosen, because it is a cheap and non-invasive form of complementary therapy to improve health in children with pain problems. Objective: The objective of the study is to describe nursing care based on evidence-based learning in pediatric patients who experience pain with the provision of peppermint aromatherapy in the Selincah Ward on the 2nd floor at RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin Kota Palembang. Method: This study used a descriptive case study approach with children who experienced pain. Result: The main nursing diagnoses were acute pain and cronic pain. Nursing interventions and implementions were carried out based on journal reviews which were the provision of peppermint aromatherapy. In the evalution the results showed that there was a decrease in pain in the three managed patients carried out for three days. In managed patients Ch. G and Ch. Y, the issue of acute pain was alleviated, as indicated by a reduction in pain scale-from 5 to 2 for Ch. G, and from 6 to 2 for Ch. A. In Ch. Y, chronic pain decreased from a level of 5 to 3, with noticeable reductions in grimacing and protective behaviors. However, Ch. Y still appears unable to fully complete tasks with the right hand due to a lump on her right shoulder. Conclusion: peppermint aromatherapy can be used as a non-pharmacological therapy carried out independently for every client with a pain problem.
