PENGARUH TERAPI STIMULASI KUTAN SLOW STROKE BACK MASSAGE PADA PASIEN KANKER SERVIKS DENGAN MASALAH NYERI KRONIS DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Chronic pain in cancer patients can sugraficantly reduce quafay of life, limit daily activities, and lead to prychological impacts such as depression and anxiety. Effective interventions are essential for alleviating pain and helping patients adapt to their discomfort One non- pharmacological pain management approach is Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM) therapy, a simple technique that promotex comfort and induces relaxation, helping to ease pain. This scientific paper aims to apply mursing care for cervical cancer patients experiencing chronic pain hy managing pain through SSBM, following evidence-based practice. The study used a qualitative research method with a case study approach on three cervical cancer patients wah chronic pam, treated from April 30, 2024, to May 6, 2024. Pam was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Results indicated mcreased patient comfort and relaxation, with a reduction in pain scale from 5-6 to 3-4 SSBM therapy, as a form of cutaneous stimidation, ands in relieving tension, relaxing the body, and unproving blood circulation. This technique offects the autonomic nervous system by eliciting a relatation response when touch is perceived as a relaxing stumulus. Relaxation is crucial for enhancing comfort and reducing stress and tenso due to the disease.
