PENERAPAN ART DRAWING THERAPY DALAM MENURUNKAN TANDA DAN GEJALA KLIEN DENGAN HALUSINASI PENDENGARAN DI RSJ ERNALDI BAHAR PALEMBANG

Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that schizophrenia patients in 2019 increased by 40% from 20 million to 26 million. According to Riskesdas data, schizophrenia patients in 2018 reached 7.0 per 1000 population in Indonesia. Mental health is one of the problems both physically and mentally that has received worldwide attention, including Indonesia. One of the most experienced types of schizophrenia is hallucinations. Hallucinations are a mental disorder that causes clients to experience changes in sensory perception and feel false sensations. Aims: This final scientific work aims to analyze the application of art drawing therapy in reducing the signs and symptoms of clients with auditory hallucinations at Ernaldi Bahar Mental Hospital Palembang. Methods: The writing of this final scientific work uses a qualitative descriptive method in the form of a case study approach that provides an overview of nursing care for clients with sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations. Results: The results of the analysis showed that the provision of generalist therapeutic interventions in the form of implementation strategies (SP) 1-4 hallucinations collaborated with art drawing therapy for 3 days was able to reduce the signs and symptoms of hallucinations. The three clients looked more cheerful, mingled and interacted with others, looked cooperative and calm. Conclusion: This final scientific work concludes that the application of art drawing therapy is effective as a distraction therapy for clients with auditory hallucinations and is able to reduce the signs and symptoms of hallucinations experienced by the three managed clients at Ernaldi Bahar Mental Hospital Palembang in collaboration with the implementation strategy (SP) 1-4 hallucinations.
