ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA PASIEN KANKER PARU DAN APLIKASI TERAPI RELAKSASI OTOT PROGRESIF DENGAN MASALAH KEPERAWATAN NYERI KRONIS DI RUMAH SAKIT MOHAMMAD HOESIN
Background: Lung cancer is the world's highest cancer case at 12.4% and in Indonesia the second largest with a percentage of 9.5% so it needs attention from health workers, families and communities. Patients with lung cancer will feel chronic pain caused by tumor infiltration and nerve suppression. Therefore, in addition to pharmacological therapy, it is necessary to provide non-pharmacological therapy that can reduce patient pain complaints. One of the interventions provided is Progressive Muscle Relaxation (ROP). Objective: to provide an overview of nursing care and the application of ROP to reduce the level of pain in patients. Methods: Case study approach by selecting three patients with lung cancer who were treated at Mohammad Hoesin Hospital. Results: Nursing care carried out in three cancer patients obtained the same complaints in the form of chest pain and a history of active and passive smoking. Interventions that have been given are pain management and progressive muscle relaxation therapy for 20-25 minutes in 5 days. The evaluation showed that in all three cases there was a decrease in pain levels with assessment results from moderate pain to mild pain, decreased anxiety, decreased grimacing and decreased feelings of depression. Conclusion: Pain management nursing care and the application of progressive muscle relaxation have an effect on reducing pain levels in the three patients at Mohammad Hoesin Hospital.
