PEMETAAN DAERAH RAWAN BANJIR DI KOTA PALEMBANG DENGAN METODE SKORING DAN WEIGHTED OVERLAY
The increase in population that occurs every year has an impact on the amount of land used for residential development. Land subsidence continues to occur significantly due to population growth in the area which then results in centralized land use in one area. Land subsidence occurs continuously every year, even though the amount or volume of water is relatively constant. This condition will certainly have a negative impact on the residents who live above the area, because the potential for flooding in the area is quite large. Mapping of flood-prone areas is needed to determine which locations are suitable and safe for long-term residence for residents. Therefore, mapping of flood-prone areas in Palembang City will be carried out as part of this research to provide information about these places and help identify areas that are suitable to live in. Using the help of software for spatial data processing, scoring and weighted overlay methods are used in this research to map flood-prone locations. The selection of these methods is because scoring and overlay is one of the techniques to map an area. The overlay method is a technique that combines layers of received data to obtain new information, whereas the scoring method directly scores each parameter in relation to the information to be obtained.
