Land fires are phenomena that frequently occur in various places worldwide, affecting the economy, human health, and the environment. Forest and land fires often occur in Indonesia, causing air pollution and health problems. One area in South Sumatra that is particularly vulnerable to forest and land fires is Ogan Ilir Regency, which experienced the worst damage in 2019. The purpose of this study is to create a potential map of forest and land fires and analyze the fire patterns in Ogan Ilir Regency. ArcGIS 10.8 software was used for scoring analysis and overlay. The study results show that most of Ogan Ilir Regency has a high vulnerability to forest and land fires (53.10%), and 78% of fire hotspots are located in this area. Therefore, many stakeholders must commit seriously to preventing and reducing forest and land fires.
