PROFIL RISIKO DAN MODALITAS TERAPI PASIEN KARSINOMA ENDOMETRIUM DI RSUP DR MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE 2022-2024
Background. Endometrial carcinoma is a gynecological malignancy originating from the endometrial lining of the uterus. It ranks as the sixth most common cancer among women worldwide, and its incidence is associated with excessive estrogen exposure to the endometrium. This study aims to describe the risk profile and therapeutic modalities of patients with endometrial carcinoma treated at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang, during the period of 2022–2024. Methods. This descriptive cross-sectional study utilized secondary data obtained from the Medical Record Department of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang, covering the period of 2022–2024. Results. A total of 149 patients with endometrial carcinoma were identified from the Medical Record Department of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang, during the period of 2022-2024. The prevalence of endometrial carcinoma in this study was 2,9%. Regarding patient risk profiles, 63.2% were aged below 60 years, 46% had a history of multiparity, and 37.5% had a normal BMI. Additionally, 98% of patients experienced normal menarche, 48.3% had normal menopause status, 86% had no history of diabetes mellitus, and 78.7% had no history of hypertension. Based on staging, 47.8% of patients were in stage I, and 84% presented with histopathological type endometrioid adenocarcinoma. In terms of therapeutic modalities, 48.9% of patients underwent surgical management, and 35.6% received a combination of surgery and chemotherapy. Conclusion. Most patients with endometrial carcinoma were under 60 years of age, had a history of multiparity, normal menarche and menopause status, and normal BMI. The majority had no history of diabetes mellitus or hypertension, were diagnosed at stage I, and had the endometrioid adenocarcinoma histopathological type. The most frequently administered therapeutic modality was surgery, either alone or in combination with chemotherapy. Keywords. Endometrial Carcinoma, Risk Profile, Therapeutic Modalities
