RESPON PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN BAWANG MERAH (ALLIUM ASCANOLICUM L.) VARIETAS TAJUK PADA BERBAGAI DOSIS PUPUK KANDANG AYAM DENGAN SISTEM TERAPUNG
Shallots (Allium ascanolicum L.) as one of the superior horticultural crops in the community require intensive development of shallots through the provision of chicken manure using a floating system in lowland swamp areas. The research aimed to determine the level of effectiveness of using various doses of chicken manure on the growth and best results for the Tajuk variety of shallot plants planted in a floating manner. This research was carried out at Embung, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra from May – August 2023. The method used in this research was the Randomized Block Design (RBD) method which consisted of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used in this research were P0 = Control, P1 = 10 tons/ha (40 grams chicken manure/polybag), P2 = 20 tons/ha (80 grams chicken manure/polybag), P3 = 30 tons/ha (chicken manure 120 grams/polybag). The results of the research showed that different doses of chicken manure had a real effect on the growth and yield of the Tajuk variety of shallot plants floating in lowland swampland. Providing chicken manure at a dose of 30 tons/ha (120 grams/polybag) gave the best results on leaf length, number of leaves, fresh weight of bulbs, dry weight of bulbs, fresh weight of stalks, and dry weight of stalks.
