ANALISA FAKTOR DISIPASI DIELEKTRIK PADA MINYAK NABATI RICE BRAN OIL YANG DIBERI PENGISI TiO2 DAN SiO2 SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF MINYAK TRANSFORMATOR
The potensial of rice bran oil as an alternative transformer oil in the future by adding TiO2 and SiO2 as filler and determining the insulation performance of the oil through testing the dielectric dissipation factor (DDF) or tan δ was reported. Sample tested on rice bran oil with TiO2 and SiO2 filler with concentration of 0,02 wt% but with different temperature variations of 25°C, 40°C, and 80°C to obtain tan δ value for each and sample tested too on rice bran oil without filler as an control with similar temperature variations that are useful as a comparison. The samples were tested using a sample volume 500 ml with 13-mm diameter sphere electrode system and 2,5-mm gap between the two electrodes. The results obtained on the control sample with temperature variations of 25°C, 40°C, and 80°C were sequent 4,4424 x 10-2; 4,5137 x 10-2; and 7,1079 x 10-2. Then the samples with TiO2 filler were sequent 3,7137 x 10-2; 4,1215 x 10-2; and 6,4068 x 10-2. Also the samples with SiO2 filler were sequent 2,6116 x 10-2; 3,1117 x 10-2; and 5,2087 x 10-2. The results indicate that the effect of high temperature causes an increase the tan δ value because vegetable oil has a slightly more polar of molecular structure. Then the addition of TiO2 and SiO2 fillers causes the tan δ value to increase compared to samples without fillers at the same temperature treatment. Then the comparison of the Tan δ value in the test results of several sample variations shows that the SiO2 filled sample gets the best value because the tan δ value is the lowest.
