GEOLOGI DAN KARAKTERISTIK BATUGAMPING FORMASI BATURAJA DESA KARANG AGUNG DAN SEKITARNYA, OGAN KOMERING ULU, SUMATERA SELATAN
Limestones from the Baturaja Formation were exposed in the Pusar area, Ogan Komering Ulu District, South Sumatra, which is a fairly good object for the study of limestone characteristics. The method of this research is based on literature study, analysis of outcrop observation data, profile analysis and results of petrographic and paleontological analysis. This study aims to identify the geomorphology of landforms, stratigraphic sequences, geological structures and specifically for accurate interpretation of limestones by petrographic analysis. The geomorphology of the research location is divided into two namely Flat - Near Flat (D) and Slightly Steep Hills (PAC). The flow pattern is dendritic. The stratigraphy of the study site consisted of the Early Miocene Baturaja Formation with limestone lithology. Early Miocene Gumai Formation - Middle Miocene is composed of carbonate sandstone, carbonate claystone, sandstone and claystone. Air Benakat Formation Middle Miocene - Late Miocene is composed of sandstones and claystones. The Muaraenim Formation of Late Miocene - Pliocene age continues to be sandstone, claystone and coal. The Kasai Formation is Pliocene - Pleistocene composed of sandstone and claystone. The geological structure of the Pandandulang syncline with the southwest stroke. Synchronous folding characteristics with Upright fold Axis and Sub Horizontal Axis Lines formed in Late Miocene - Pliocene.
