HUBUNGAN ANTARA TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU DAN PERAN KADER TERHADAP KUNJUNGAN PENIMBANGAN BALITA USIA 0-59 BULAN DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SAKO

Marshanda, Tasya - Personal Name;

Background: Nutrition remains a major health problem in Indonesia, including stunting rates among toddlers. According to the 2023 Indonesian Child Health Survey (SKI), the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia is 21.5%, with South Sumatra reaching 20.3% and Palembang City at 18.9%, including 0.3% at the Sako Community Health Center (Puskesmas), which is still far from the 2024 RPJMN target of reducing stunting to 14%. Toddler weighing coverage at the Sako Community Health Center's Integrated Health Post (Posyandu) is 80.2%, which also falls short of the 85% target. The actual number of toddlers by name is not yet available, making early detection and specific interventions difficult. Based on Lawrence Green's theory, maternal knowledge is a predisposing factor, and the role of cadres is an enabling factor influencing maternal visits to the Posyandu. Methods: This is an observational, analytical cross-sectional study of 57 mothers with infants and toddlers aged 0–59 months in the Sako Community Health Center's work area. Primary data were obtained through questionnaires and secondary data from the KIA (Child Health Card) handbook, then analyzed using the chi-square test. Results: There was a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and toddler weighing visits (p=0.025), and there was a significant relationship between the role of cadres and toddler weighing visits (p=0.027). Conclusion: There is a relationship between maternal knowledge and the role of cadres on toddler weighing visits aged 0-59 months. Keywords: maternal knowledge, role of cadres, Posyandu visits, stunting
