PENILAIAN FUNGSI KOGNITIF PADA PASIEN KANKER PAYUDARA YANG MENJALANI KEMOTERAPI MENGGUNAKAN CLOCK DRAWING TEST DI RS MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in the world. Chemotherapy can be one of the treatment options and has been proven to have a significant impact on patient survival. However, there are concerns about the side effects of chemotherapy that can affect the cognitive function of patients, known as chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment (CICI). This study aims to determine the cognitive function of breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at Mohammad Hoesin Hospital in Palembang using the Clock Drawing Test (CDT) and to describe the characteristics of patients, the proportion, and distribution of cognitive impairment based on age, education, regimen, number of chemotherapy treatment cycles, and stage. This study was descriptive observational with a cross-sectional approach, involving 97 patients who met the inclusion criteria. Data collection took place from July to October 2025 through interviews and clock drawing tests. The results showed that 74 respondents (76.3%) had normal cognitive function, while 23 respondents (23.7%) showed possible cognitive impairment that required further evaluation. Overall, this study shows that most breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at Mohammad Hoesin Hospital in Palembang still have good cognitive function, although there is a proportion of patients who show impairment that requires further evaluation.
