REPRESENTASI PERILAKU ALTRUISME DALAM FILM LEMANTUN (ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA ROLAND BARTHES)
This research discusses the representation of altruistic behavior in the film Lemantun. By deconstructing the visual and narrative signs of altruistic behavior represented in the film Lemantun based on Stuart Hall's The Circuit of Culture representation and using Roland Barthes' Semiotic theory which goes through three stages of analysis, namely connotation, denotation and myth to analyze the representation. This research uses descriptive qualitative research and uses data collection methods through documentation, literature study and in-depth interviews referring to interview guidelines. The research results show that altruistic behavior in the film Lemantun is represented through symbols such as the color white, the act of sharing, and self-sacrifice. In addition, it was also found that a strong socio-cultural context influences the way altruism is constructed in films. The results of this research also have implications for character education, especially in efforts to instill human values in everyday life starting from the smallest environment, namely the family.
