STUDI DEFISIENSI HARA PADA TANAMAN KELAPA SAWIT (ELAEIS GUINEENSIS JACQ.) YANG MENGHASILKAN DI TANAH MASAM LAHAN KERING

This research aims to examine the effect of nutrient deficiencies in oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) crops produced in acidic dry land on crops growth. This research was carried out at the Palm Oil Research Plantation, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, and was carried out from October-November 2022. The results of the research showed that more than 70% of the oil palm in research plantation experienced of N, P, K and Mg deficies. NPK fertilization doses that were not in accordance with recommendations cause suboptimal morphology in the vegetative and generative phases, which is indicated by leaves experiencing chlorosis and an unbalanced ratio of male-female flowers bunch and lance leaves. Crops deficient in N, P, K showed a weak correlation between the number of fronds deficient in N and P, K, Mg. In crops that are deficient in N, P, K, there was a strong correlation between the number of fronds that were deficient in K and Mg and P.
