Background. Knee arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure considered the gold standard for diagnosing and treating various intra-articular knee disorders. Patient profiles for this procedure vary widely, influenced by age, sex, medical history, and underlying clinical conditions. However, data regarding the characteristics of patients who had knee arthroscopy in Indonesia, particularly in South Sumatra, remain limited. The number of knee arthroscopy patients has shown an annual increase. The majority of patients were in the 15–35-year age group (67–74%) and predominantly male (69–80%). In terms of occupation, most patients were privatesector employees. The most common indication for knee arthroscopy was ACL injury (55–78%), with intraoperative findings revealing ACL tears (55–70%), making ACL reconstruction (22–36%) the most frequently performed treatment.
