ANALISIS PENERAPAN BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES PERKEBUNAN KARET RAKYAT SERTA KAITANNYA DENGAN KUANTITAS KARET DI DESA KASMARAN KABUPATEN MUSI BANYUASIN
The rubber commodity is the commodity with the second largest plantation are after oil palm. However, rubber has not been able to produce optimally. In this regard, of course there must be follow-up action to increase rubber productivity. One program that aims to increase rubber production is the implementation of Best Management Practices (BMP). The aim of this research is to analyze the application of Best Management Practices (BMP) to rubber plantations in Kasmaran Village, Babat Toman District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, analyze what factors influence the quantity of rubber plant production, and analyze the relationship between Best Management Practices (BMP) and quantity of rubber in Kasmaran Village, Babat Toman District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. This data collection was carried out in December 2023. The method used in this research was a survey method. The sampling method used in this research was simple random sampling with a total sample of 41 farmers. The research results show that the implementation of Best Management Practices (BMP) on rubber plantations belonging to Kasmaran is moderate. Judging from the pre-planting aspect, planting and care are also classified as moderate. Factors that have a significant influence on rubber production in Kasmaran Village are farming experience, land area, age of plants and other fertilizers, while farmer age, years of education, urea fertilizer, type of variety and tapping technique do not have a significant effect. For the relationship between Best Management Practice (BMP) and the quantity of rubber in Kasmaran Village, the results of the rank-spearman test show that there is no significant relationship between Best Management Practice (BMP) and the quantity of rubber in Kasmaran Village.
