This research aims to determine the role of the family and the factors that influence the role of the family in efforts to prevent stunting in Talang Jaya Village, Sungai Menang District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. This research uses the role theory of Biddle and Thomas. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach. Datu was obtained from observations, 5 muin informants and 2 supporting informants through interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that the role of the family in efforts to prevent stunting in Talang Jaya Village, Sungai Menang District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency is through exclusive breastfeeding. providing balanced nutritional intake, implementing healthy living behavior, monitoring children's growth and development, collaborating with family members in prevention efforts. stunting, providing support and education. Meanwhile, the factors that influence the role of the family in efforts to prevent stunting are economic factors in stunted families, environmental factors in stunted children, and family education factors in stunted children.
