PENGARUH PAD, BELANJA MODAL DAN PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI TERHADAP FISCAL STRESS DI PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN DAN PROVINSI RIAU

This study aims to determine the effect of PAD, capital expenditure and economic growth on fiscal stress in South Sumatra Province and Riau Province. The data used is secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency and the Directorate General of Financial Balance for the 2008-2022 period. By using the multiple linear regression method. The research results showed that PAD, capital expenditure and economic growth simultaneously effect on fiscal stress. Partially, in South Sumatra Province PAD have a negative and significant effect on fiscal stress, while capital expenditure have a positive and significant effect on fiscal stress, and economic growth have a positive but not significant effect on fiscal stress. The results of study in Riau Province PAD have a negative and significant effect on fiscal stress, while capital expenditure and economic growth have a positive and significant effect on fiscal stress. The implication of this research is that the government should increase the level of economic growth. Increasing economic growth causes an increase in existing job opportunities, welfare and productivity of society, thereby reducing the incidence of fiscal stress.
