ANALISIS EFISIENSI TEKNIS INDUSTRI PENGOLAHAN TEH (ISIC 10763) DI INDONESIA: PENDEKATAN STOCHASTIC FRONTIER
The processing industry has an important role in the national economy. One sub-sector of the processing industry that has large market potential is the tea processing industry. Nevertheless, there are still several obstacles faced by the tea processing industry, especially in the utilization of production inputs. This research aims to analyze the technical efficiency of the tea processing industry in Indonesia with variables used include capital, labor and output. The data used is secondary data in the form of time series from 2008 to 2022. The analysis technique used is the stochastic frontier approach. The research results show that the tea processing industry in Indonesia is technically inefficient with an average technical efficiency value of 0.5722 or 57 percent. However, there have been several years of research where the tea processing industry has reached a level of technical efficiency. This achievement was caused by a shift in the production process which was more focused on the use of machine technology rather than labor.
