ANALISIS FRAMING PEMBERITAAN KONFLIK ISRAEL PALESTINA DI MEDIA KOMPAS.COM DAN REPUBLIKA ONLINE

Meisyah, Dela - Personal Name;

This study aims to determine the differences in framing regarding the analysis of the framing of the Israel-Palestine Conflict News on the Kompas.com and Republika online news portals. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach. The analysis technique used is the Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki framing analysis with the objects studied being twenty-five news from Kompas.com and sixteen news on Republika online from October 2023. The results of the study show that there are differences in the perspective of the news. Kompas.com tends to use a more neutral framing, highlighting the conflict from a political and humanitarian perspective by providing equal money for both parties. In contrast to the Republika online portal, it consistently frames this conflict in the context of the Palestinian struggle for independence. In addition, Kompas.com focuses more on the role of international actors and the impact of the conflict on the region, using descriptive and unemotional language. Meanwhile, Republika online also emphasizes the importance of solidarity of the Muslim world towards Palestine, as well as quoting religious figures and statements from Muslim countries, using more emotional and ideological language.
