This research is entitled "Aren Sugar Farmers in Seriguna Village, Teluk Gelam District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, 2012-2022". The problem raised was the process of making palm sugar in Seriguna village, Teluk Gelam District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, and the factors that caused the decline in the number of palm sugar farmers in Seriguna village, Teluk Gelam District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency in 2012-2022. This research aims to explain the process of making palm sugar and to find out the causes of the decline in the number of palm sugar farmers in Seriguna village. This research used a historical method with research steps, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Meanwhile, the sociological and economic approaches used are also sociological. Based on the research results, it was found that the decline in the number of sugar palm farmers was caused by several things, namely age, disease, boredom, and the large number of sugar palm trees being cut down.
