SKRINING RINITIS ALERGI MENGGUNAKAN KUESIONER SFAR PADA ANAK USIA 13-14 TAHUN DI SMP NEGERI 8 DAN SMP NEGERI 15 PALEMBANG

Background. Allergic rhinitis is an inflammatory condition of the nasal mucosa caused by an allergic reaction mediated by IgE after exposure to an allergen. Allergic rhinitis can be detected using the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood (ISAAC) questionnaire and the Score for Allergic Rhinitis (SFAR). The goal was to determine the results of allergic rhinitis screening in students aged 13-14 years at SMP Negeri 8 and SMP Negeri 15 Palembang based on the SFAR questionnaire assessment. Method. This study used a descriptive method with a cross-sectional design. Data collection used primary data in the form of an SFAR questionnaire with the aim of determining the results of allergic rhinitis screening in students at SMP Negeri 8 and SMP Negeri 15 Palembang. Results. The results of screening 200 samples, the number of students suspected of having allergic rhinitis was 95 samples (47.5%). The most common age was 13 years old 81 samples (40.5%) with female gender 62 samples (31%). Sneezing was the most common symptom, namely 90 samples (45%). The most common triggering factor was house dust 76 samples (38%). The rainy/dry season dominated, namely 55 samples (27.5%) and in December 22 samples (11%). A total of 20 samples (10%) who had allergic rhinitis, obtained positive results in the previous skin prick test (SPT), and 37 samples (18.5%) had been diagnosed with allergies by a doctor. The most common family history of atopy was asthma in the mother 14 samples (7%). Conclusion. Based on the results of allergic rhinitis screening were that 95 students were suspected of having allergic rhinitis, the majority of patients were female, aged 13 years, the most common symptom was sneezing, most often during the rainy/dry season, the most common triggering factor was house dust, and most had a history of atopic asthma in their mothers.
