PERSEPSI GENERASI MILENIAL TERHADAP TRADISI PERHITUNGAN “WETON” DALAM PENENTUAN WAKTU PERNIKAHAN DI DESA JATEN KABUPATEN WONOGIRI JAWA TENGAH
this study aims to analyze the factors underlying the perception of the millennial generation and the form of perception of the millennial generation towards the tradition of calculating weton in determining the time of marriage in Jaten Village, Wonogiri Regency. This study uses the Perception theory. The research method used is a qualitative research method that is descriptive with a case study research strategy. Data was obtained from the results of observations, including 1 key informant, 9 primary informants, and 4 supporting informants, through interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the factors underlying the perception of the millennial generation towards the weton tradition are 1) Recipient factors, which include Education factors and family factors. 2) Situational factors include Job factors and Experience factors. 3) Object factors (environment). In addition, this study's results indicate that the millennial generation's perception towards the Weton calculation tradition is 1) positive perceptions include considering the Weton calculation tradition important, believing in Primbon predictions, obeying and adhering to tradition. 2) negative perceptions include not believing in the Weton calculation tradition and not considering it a consideration in determining the time of marriage.
