EFISIENSI PENYIMPANAN PADA SISTEM IRIGASI TETES DI LAHAN TANAMAN SAYURAN CAISIM (Brassicas Chinensis L.) MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA TANAM CAMPURAN ARANG SEKAM
This research aims to determine the composition of husk charcoal in ultisol soil planting media using a subsurface drip irrigation system on the water storage efficiency and yield of caisim (Brassicas chinensis L.) plants. This research was carried out from June 2024 to July 2024 at the Plant House and Natural Resources Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Technology, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The method used in this research is an experimental method in the form of a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatment levels, each treatment repeated three times. The research parameters consisted of water storage efficiency, number of leaves, fresh weight of the fruit, dry weight of the fruit, and dry weight of the roots. The results of this study showed that the composition of the planting media mixture had an effect on water storage efficiency in the root area, fresh weight and dry weight of shoots, while the number of leaves only showed its effect 2 weeks after planting. Planting media with A2 composition mixed with 50% Charcoal husk: 50% Soil shows the highest average values respectively for water storage efficiency of 92.28%, fresh weight of 72.7 g, dry weight of 4.06 g, and heavy dry roots 0.46 g.
