STRATEGI KERJASAMA SUB-REGIONAL BIMP-EAGA (BRUNEI DARUSSALAM - INDONESIA - MALAYSIA - PHILIPPINES EAST ASEAN GROWTH AREA) DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN HASIL PERIKANAN BUDIDAYA DI INDONESIA.
This Study analyzes the role of the sub-regional cooperation of the Brunei Darussalam-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) in developing Indonesia's fisheries sector using Robert Keohane's theory of multilateral cooperation. Keohane's theory emphasizes the importance of international institutions in facilitating cooperation between countries through mechanisms that reduce uncertainty, increase trust, and strengthen commitment. The research method used is qualitative, employing in-depth interviews with relevant stakeholders. The result show that BIMP-EAGA cooperation has begun to show a significant impact on Indonesia's fisheries sector, particularly within the framework of formulating the BIMP-EAGA Vision 2025. The initiatives proposed in this vision focus on increasing productivity, sustainable management, and broader market access for fisheries products. This study provides important insights into how multilateral cooperation facilitated by institutions like BIMP-EAGA can contribute to the economic recovery and development of Indonesia's fisheries sector.
