ANALISIS EFEKTIVITAS IMPLEMENTASI NATIONALLY DETERMINED CONTRIBUTION (NDC) PADA PENGURANGAN EMISI GAS RUMAH KACA DI INDONESIA
Climate Change has many negative impacts on life. This is due to the increase in greenhouse gas emissions that are difficult to control worldwide. Indonesia as one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions is responsible for this. To reduce GHG emissions, Indonesia joined the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It committed to reducing GHG emissions by implementing the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC). This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of NDC implementation on GHG emission reduction in Indonesia using qualitative methods by using documentation study as a data source. This research uses Arild Underdal's Regime Effectiveness Concept which assesses effectiveness from three variables, namely Dependent, Independent, and Intervention. The result of this research is that the implementation of NDC in Indonesia has not been effective enough because greenhouse gas emissions in Indonesia are still experiencing a fluctuating increase and there is a need for inter-institutional cooperation, increased resources, and common values to create a more effective NDC implementation.
