UPAYA PAGUYUBAN PLAJU BERSINAR DALAM MENINGKATKAN PENDAPATAN EKONOMI KELUARGA PENGRAJIN TEMPE DI KECAMATAN PLAJU

This study aims to determine the efforts of Paguyuban Plaju Bersinar in increasing the economic income of tempe artisan families in Plaju Subdistrict by using five indicators of empowerment efforts, namely Enabling, Strengthening, Protecting, Supporting, and Maintaining. Then, to find out that these efforts can increase the economic income of craftsmen, 4 indicators of income increase are used, namely Employment, Monthly Income, Costs covered and School budget. This research is a qualitative research using observation, interview and documentation methods. The informants in this research are the Association Management, Association Members and the Head of RW who acts as a supervisor of activities in the Plaju Bersinar Association. Data analysis techniques used in this research are data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion. This study found that there are four indicators of empowerment efforts made by the association, namely the indicators of Enabling, Protecting, Supporting and Maintaining. In this case, the association as a forum for craftsmen has carried out various empowerment activities that can help craftsmen with assistance from various related institutions. While on the Strengthening Indicator, the Association still needs to increase efforts in providing empowerment for craftsmen in order to improve skills so that they can support the increase in craftsmen's income. The results of this study are in line with the theory of empowerment efforts put forward by Suharto, which consists of five indicators of enabling, strengthening, protecting, supporting, and maintaining.
