HUBUNGAN SELF-COMPASSION DENGAN INTOLERANCE OF UNCERTAINTY PADA INDIVIDU YANG SEDANG MENCARI PEKERJAAN
This study aims to examine the relationship between self-compassion and intolerance of uncertainty among individuals who are actively seeking employment. The hypothesis proposed in this research is that there is a significant relationship between self-compassion and intolerance of uncertainty among job seekers. The population in this study consists of individuals who are currently looking for employment. The research sample included 200 job seekers and an additional 50 individuals for the scale try-out. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of an intolerance of uncertainty scale based on Carleton’s (2007) dimensions and a self-compassion scale based on Neff’s (2016) aspects. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s product-moment correlation technique. The results showed a correlation coefficient of r = -0.356 (p = 0.000; p < 0.05), indicating a significant negative relationship between self-compassion and intolerance of uncertainty. Therefore, the research hypothesis is accepted.
