UJI AIR ASAM TAMBANG TERHADAP LAJU PERTUMBUHAN DAN KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP IKAN MAS (Cyprinus carpio L.)
Mining activities are one of the business sectors that have an important role in utilizing the potential of natural resources, especially coal to support national economic development. However, mining activities such as open mining also have great potential to cause environmental damage and potentially disturb the water system around the mining area. Carp (Cyprinus carpio) is one type of freshwater fish that is known to have good adaptability to the environment which makes it suitable for use in water quality testing. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the effect of acid mine drainage on the growth rate and survival of carp (Cyprinus carpio). This study used an experimental method to determine the concentration that is tolerant for carp to acid mine water from ex-mining ponds (voids). This research design uses a Randomized Group Design (RAK) with 5 treatments and 4 replicates. Acid mine drainage had a significant effect on carp survival at 5% level (α) with a p value = 0.0022 (0.05).
