DAMPAK GAME ONLINE MOBILE LEGENDS TERHADAP KONSENTRASI BELAJAR SISWA DI SMA NEGERI 1 PAGARALAM
This study aims to determine the effect of playing the online game mobile legends on students’ learning concentration at SMA Negeri 1 Pagaralam. The background of this research is based on the increasing use of online games among teenagers, particularly mobile legends, which has the potential to disrupt students focus and academic performance. This study employs a quantitative approach with an associative method. The sample consisted of 46 students selected through purposive sampling, specifically those actively playing mobile legends. The research instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire used to measure the intensity of playing the game and students learning concentration. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show a significant influence between the intensity of playing mobile legends and students learning concentration. The higher the frequency and duration of playing, the lower the students concentration level. This is indicated by a significance value (p < 0.05) and a coefficient of determination (R²) that reflects the contribution of the independent variable to the dependent variable. The study concludes that excessive use of mobile legends negatively affects students learning concentration. Therefore, proper time management and supervision from parents and teachers are essential to ensure that technology use supports, rather than disrupts, academic activities.
