Sexual violence is a serious and complex problem that is now starting to spread in university environments. This, if not handled seriously, can harm a person physically, psychologically, and socially. One of the efforts to overcome this is by increasing students' knowledge and attitudes about the prevention and handling of sexual violence. This research used the colloquial Palembang language as a medium for health education because it can provide a picture of real events in a short time. In addition, the use of language in this movie has the potential to preserve the Palembang language. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Palembang language short films on students' knowledge and attitudes in the prevention and handling of sexual violence. This research was a quantitative research with pre-experimental one group pretest-post test design. The number of samples in the study was 30 students of FKIP Sriwijaya University, Indralaya campus. Respondents were selected using the random sampling method. The instruments used in this study were knowledge and attitude questionnaires. Statistical analyses used in this study were the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test for the knowledge variable and the Paired Sample T Test for the attitude variable. The results showed that the median value of student knowledge increased from 12 at the pretest to 13 at the post test with a p value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the analysis of student attitudes increased with a mean value of 65.87 at pretest to 69.03 at posttest with a p value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that there was a significant effect of watching Palembang-Language short films on students' knowledge and attitudes related to the prevention and handling ofsexual violence. The results of this study are expected to be an alternative for the prevention and handling of sexual violence (PPKS) Task Force in choosing health education media to overcome sexual violence.
