POLA LUKA PADA ANAK KORBAN KEKERASAN SEKSUAL DI RS BHAYANGKARA PALEMBANG TAHUN 2024
Background. Child sexual abuse is a serious issue with long-term physical, psychological, and social consequences. This study aimed to describe the injury patterns among child victims of sexual violence at Bhayangkara Hospital Palembang in 2024. The literature review was based on forensic medicine theories and the guidelines of Visum et Repertum (VeR) as a medico-legal document. Methods. This was a descriptive observational study using secondary data obtained from 123 Visum et Repertum records of child sexual abuse victims between January 1st and December 31st, 2024. Data were analyzed descriptively using the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) version 27 and presented in frequency distribution tables. Results. The results showed that the majority of victims were adolescents aged 13-18 years (83.7%) and predominantly female (95.5%). The most common type of injury was laceration (78.7%), predominantly located in the genital region (90.2%), with most cases presenting a single type of injury (87.8%). These findings highlight the importance of meticulous forensic medical examinations as supporting evidence in legal processes and the need for public education to improve early detection of child sexual abuse cases. Conclusion. The study concludes that sexual violence against children most frequently occurs among adolescent females, with laceration injuries in the genital region as the most dominant pattern.
