ESTIMASI LAJU EROSI DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN RUSLE SERTA PROYEKSI SPASIAL SECARA TEMPORAL PADA SEMPADAN SUNGAI LILIN JALUR TONGKANG BATUBARA
Riverine areas are transitional zones between water bodies and land that play an important role in maintaining river flow stability. However, transportation activities such as coal barges can accelerate erosion in these areas. This study aims to estimate the rate of soil loss due to surface erosion using a RUSLE model based on spatial and temporal data in the Lilin River basin, Musi Banyuasin Regency. Data were collected through field observations, laboratory analysis, and secondary data on rainfall, soil type, slope, land cover, and conservation. Analysis was conducted using ArcGIS 10.8. Results showed that areas with good vegetation cover experienced very light erosion, while open land experienced moderate erosion. The RUSLE model was able to map erosion spatially well, but it could not fully describe erosion on riverbanks.
