ANALISIS KONDISI SOSIAL EKONOMI PELAKU UMKM DI SEKITAR PINTU TOL PRABUMULIH (STUDI KASUS DI DESA KARANGAN, KECAMATAN RAMBANG KAPAK TENGAH, KOTA PRABUMULIH)

The construction of the Prabumulih toll road infrastructure brings its own opportunities and challenges for MSMEs located around the toll gate, namely Karangan Village. The presence of the toll gate increases traffic flow and potential road user visits. The study was conducted to determine the socio-economic conditions of MSMEs and the strategies they use to improve these socio-economic conditions. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study research type. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation of 8 key informants and 4 supporting informants. The results of the study indicate that MSMEs can utilize the presence of the toll road optimally to create socio-economic conditions such as more diverse businesses, increased income, more innovative marketing strategies, better services, and maximum asset utilization compared to before the toll road, which only survived with little capital, relied on local customers and rarely carried out business innovation. In addition, the socio-economic conditions of MSMEs are also seen from Abdulsyani's socio-economic indicators such as type of economic activity, income, education, age, and asset ownership (wealth). Various strategies are carried out by MSMEs to improve socio-economic conditions, including the use of technology, maintaining product quality, and strengthening partnership networks.
