The Rumpak-rumpak tradition is a cultural practice unique to the Arab community in Kuto Batu. Typically observed on the 1st of Shawwal, or more precisely during the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, the Rumpak-rumpak tradition serves the purpose of maintaining and strengthening social bonds. In this tradition, descendants of the Arab community visit each other's homes in groups within their local area. This research, titled "The Meaning of the Rumpak- Rumpak Tradition in Kuto Batu Subdistrict, Palembang City," aims to understand the significance of the Rumpak-rumpak tradition and the motivations of the Kuto Batu community through Alfred Schutz's phenomenological theory.
