FAKTOR PENYEBAB PENDUDUK MENJADI TENAGA KERJA WANITA KE LUAR NEGERI (Kasus Keluarga TKW di Desa Tanjung Pinang, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir)

This research aims to determine the factors that cause the population to become female workers abroad. The type of research used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects in this study were 5 people who were working as TKW abroad, TKW families, and former TKW who came from Tanjung Pinang Village, Ogan Ilir Regency. The data analysis method in this research is the observation and interview method. The results of this research show that the factors that cause the population to become female workers abroad are due to push factors from the area of origin which is motivated by the desire to take advantage of their young age to look for decent work, the low employment opportunities available. making residents look for work abroad, low levels of education which makes it difficult for residents to find decent work in their area of origin, and the desire to help improve the family's economy. Pull factors from the destination country are because the salary offered is higher than the area of origin, the success of previous TKW and more decent living conditions abroad provide an attraction for residents of Tanjung Pinang Village to work as TKW abroad who hope to be able to achieve a better socio-economic status.
