ANALISIS PENGARUH LIGHT EMITTING DIODE TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP BENIH IKAN BETOK (ANABAS TESTUDINEUS).
The relatively slow growth rate of climbing perch (Anabas testudineus) remains a limiting factor in their cultivation. Environmental parameters, including temperature, pH, and light color, influence growth performance in fish. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of manipulating the color of rearing media using Light Emitting Diode (LED) on the growth and survival rate of climbing perch fingerlings. The experiment employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and three replicates: P1 (blue LED), P2 (white LED), P3 (green LED), and P4 (red LED). Each treatment maintained a light intensity of 500 lux under continuous illumination for 24 hours. The fingerlings were stocked at a density of 1 fish per liter and reared for 30 days, receiving commercial feed three times a day by at satiation. The blue LED treatment (P1) produced the highest absolute weight growth (1.06 g), length growth (0.7 cm), feed efficiency (30.36%), and survival rate (94.44%). Feed response time was rapid (78.68 seconds) and behavioral observations indicated high swimming activity and sensitivity to movement. Throughout the experiment, water quality parameters remained stable within optimal ranges: temperature (27.0-32.5°C), pH (6.44-7.93), dissolved oxygen (5.3-5.6 mg L-1), and ammonia (0.010-0.035 mg L-1).
