PERAN DINAS LINGKUNGAN HIDUP (DLH) KOTA PALEMBANG DALAM MELAKSANAKAN TUGAS SEBAGAI PENGAWAS PENGELOLAAN LIMBAH B3 DI KOTA PALEMBANG.

This study discusses the role of the Environmental Agency (DLH) in carrying out its duties as a supervisor of Hazardous and Toxic Waste (B3) management in Palembang City. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with the determination of informants using purposive techniques, consisting of two main informants and three supporting informants. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews with informants, documentation, and literature study, analyzed using the role theory proposed by Sutarto. The results of the study indicate that the role of the Environmental Agency (DLH) of Palembang City includes providing education to businesses/activities about B3 waste management, supervising businesses/activities regarding B3 waste management, and providing guidance to businesses/activities on B3 waste management. The Environmental Service (DLH) has not carried out its duties as management supervisor in Palembang City because the community did not receive socialization from this agency.
