PENGARUH TEMPERATUR PIROLISIS BATUBARA LIGNIT TERHADAP BERAT JENIS DAN KARAKTER MINYAK BATUBARA
In this research, lignite coal is used as raw material for making coal oil. The method used is the pyrolysis method using temperature variations of 450-600°C. The coal oil resulting from pyrolysis was analyzed using GC-MS, %yield, specific gravity, and heating value. The optimal temperature obtained in the lignite coal pyrolysis process is 500°C. The results of GC-MS analysis showed that the most common group of compounds found was phenolic compounds. The results of the specific gravity analysis show that the higher the temperature, the smaller the specific gravity. The smallest specific gravity was obtained at a temperature of 500°C with a specific gravity of 0.838 g/mL. The results of the calorific value analysis show that the higher the temperature, the greater the calorific value, at a temperature of 500°C the calorific value is 3,241 cal/g. The results of the %yield analysis show that the higher the temperature, the greater the yield, at a temperature of 500°C the yield was 11.7%.
