CIVIC ENGAGEMENT MAHASISWA PESERTA PROGRAM MERDEKA BELAJAR KAMPUS MERDEKA DI PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN EKONOMI FKIP UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
This research aims to describe the civic engagement of students participating in the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) program in the Economic Education study program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and interviews. The sample of this research consisted of 41 students of Economics Education FKIP Sriwijaya University Class of 2020 and 2021 who participated in the MBKM program in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year which was determined by the purposive sampling technique. Student civic engagement 46.34% was in the “very good” category, and 53.66% was in the “good” category. Good civic engagement by students in their participation in the MBKM program indicates that the contribution of students provides benefits for self-development, education, society, and technology. In this research, it is highly recommended to add documentation techniques in data collection. Keywords: Civic Engagement; College Student; Independent Learning Independent Campus Program
