ANALISIS PENGARUH VARIASI IN HOLE DELAY TERHADAP DAMPAK GROUND VIBRATION DALAM KEGIATAN PELEDAKAN DI PT DAHANA PERSERO
PT Dahana (Persero), as a blasting service contractor in the limestone mining area of PT Semen Baturaja Tbk, faces operational challenges due to the proximity of the mining site to residential areas. This condition requires strict control of environmental impacts, particularly ground vibration, to comply with the SNI 7571:2023 standard. This study aims to analyze the effect of in-hole delay variations on Peak Particle Velocity (PPV) values and determine the optimal design from both technical and environmental perspectives. The research method involved field studies and actual vibration measurements using a Micromate instrument by comparing two in-hole delay variation scenarios within a single zig-zag blasting pattern. Variation 1 used a combination of 500 ms short delay and 6000 ms long delay, while Variation 2 used a combination of 3000 ms and 6000 ms long delays. The results showed that differences in delay times significantly affected the superposition of vibration waves. Variation 1 proved to be more optimal in reducing vibration, yielding an average PPV value below 1 mm/s, whereas Variation 2 produced a peak PPV value reaching 1.4895 mm/s. Technically, applying in-hole delay variations in a single firing sequence proved more efficient than the segmented blasting method, as it minimized the risk of cutoffs, reduced cycle time, and saved on the consumption of electric detonators.
