PENILAIAN PENERAPAN SANITASI LINGKUNGAN PONDOK PESANTREN AT-TAUHIID OGAN ILIR DALAM KESIAPAN MENGHADAPI NEW NORMAL TERHADAP PENCEGAHAN CORONA VIRUS DESEASE TAHUN 2020

The Islamic Boarding School is the only institution that currently has re-opened offline or face-to-face education. This can be a sphere that has a high risk of transmitting the corona virus disease. Sanitation and environmental health are now very important to protect and improve the level of human health during a pandemic. The purpose of this study was to analyze the assessment of the application of environmental sanitation at the at-tauhiid Islamic boarding school in readiness to face the new normal for the prevention of corona virus disease in ogan ilir. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Information was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and questionnaires. Informants in this study amounted to 12 people. Analysis of the data used is content analysis. The validity test was carried out through triangulation of sources, methods, and data. The results showed that the At-tauhiid Islamic Boarding School had provided sanitation facilities in the face of the new normal, but there was no regular control process which resulted in several aspects of sanitation that were not in accordance with health standards. In addition, hand washing facilities are not equipped with hand soap, hand sanitizer is not available at every crowded point, and the use of masks is not consistently used by students. In addition, the unavailability of vector control devices and the room density and ventilation of the at-tauhiid Islamic boarding school are not yet up to standard which results in high temperature and humidity levels in the boarding school room. Suggestions for this research are that Islamic boarding schools are more optimal in completing sanitation facilities and new normal efforts that are in accordance with health requirements, especially during this pandemic, and boarding school residents can take care of these facilities.
